This Week Doesn’t Really Exist at SIEF congress in Aberdeen & online

On 3 June 2025, our short ethnographic docummentary “This Week Doesn’t Really Exist” by Piotr Goldstein, Olga Łojewska and Maksymilian Awuah, will be screened at the SIEF conress in Aberdeen, Scotland and online. If you are at the congress, please join us for the screening in the film programme session “Belonging: the making of migrant communities” at 15:00 UK time (16:00 CEST). https://nomadit.co.uk/conference/sief2025/p/16987

“This Week Doesn’t Really Exist” offers an intimate look at the lives of cross-border workers who travel daily between Poland’s Lubuskie region and Germany’s Brandenburg. Through their stories, the film reveals how the road becomes more than just a space of commute — it shapes the rhythm, structure, and emotional tone of everyday life in these often overlooked regions.

In the same session you will be also able to see Piotr Goldstein’s another ethnographic docummentary “Spółdzielnia/Cooperative“.
